Passion vs Excellence

What matter the most? passion or excellence?

This is a question that I often ponder when pursuing something, from learning new tools, language, or course.

Some people have been gifted with a dream that they can pursue as an ambition. This can be developed to become a passion and achieve something great in this pursuit.

But not all people have been gifted with this kind of passion. People like me who do not know what I am passionate about just seems to fiddle with many things that of interest.

Some would say that if you do not have passion on something than you should not do it. I think this would be counter-productive for people like me.

I personally think that we should try to excel in anything that we do. And pursuit what is good regardless of passion.

If one have passion on something, that they would want to do nothing else beside it, then that would be awesome.

But for anyone else, I think that we should not pin ourselves with a mindset that we are worthless without passion.

We should just do what we can, with what we have, on anything that of use. And hopefully one day we can have some passion on the things that we excel on, and that this passion would be for the betterment of mankind.

Because the best man would be the one who are beneficial to mankind.
